About Mecca Bedford

Mecca Bingo Bedford is a modern club, purpose built, and conveniently located in the town’s centre – and close to the main bus routes.

There is parking for 150 cars, seating for 700, 100 electronic Bingo terminals, and free ATM machines. The club’s bar and cafe provide good value food and beverages throughout the day and night, and there are disabled facilities and hearing loops available.

Mecca Bedford is a social club, with lots of promotions and specials, as well as a regular happy hour. It also has a very active Facebook page with all the news and events you need to know, as well as some fun competitions.

Bedford is famous for the River Ouse, its former wool, lace, and beer industries, and probably most infamously for John Bunyan being imprisoned in Bedford Gaol in 1660 for 12 years – where he wrote the religious allegory, The Pilgrim’s Progress.

More recently, the area was made famous in the 1970s for being the location for popular TV series Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em, and the nearby Cardington Airship hangars have been used to film scenes for Hollywood blockbusters like Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, and Inception.
