At first, we thought STV was a political online Bingo site referring to Single Transferable Vote, but no, it’s actually an off-shoot of Scottish Television… which makes more sense!
Many media organisations have jumped on the online Bingo bandwagon, some with success (such as ITV), and some not so much, and this one, unfortunately, falls into the latter category.

First Impressions
Despite the same logo as its parent company, there is nothing else that connects this online Bingo site with STV – in fact, it feels like an unwanted child as there’s not even a link from www.stv.tv to STV Bingo.
The rest of the homepage is very basic, with a few Bingo balls floating around, a guy popping a party popper, and some hard to read white font against a white background, then there are just the registration banners – but it doesn’t really inspire confidence at first glance!
STV Bingo launched with Dragonfish, but changed to Bede Gaming in 2014, so we were at least excited to try something relatively new, compared to the old tried and tested Dragonfish software.

Unsurprisingly we were let down by the promotions too, promising “a mix of themed BOGOFS, bingo specials, additional rooms, prize giveaways PLUS much more! These promotions are defo something you don’t want to miss out on! Check out what’s going on this month” so we did, and couldn’t find anything through the link!
Once again the Slots proved to be a saving grace as there was a pretty cool progressive Megajackpot game with big prizes up for grabs if you play Cluedo, Monopoly, and Cleopatra.

If we were underwhelmed before, it got even worse when we went to the lobby and found just three rooms available offering 75 and 90 ball Bingo, and pre-buy rooms with guaranteed jackpots, but being a small network these prizes didn’t get our hearts racing!
We knew things must have been bad when we got excited by the fact that the Bingo room was ok compared to the rest of the site! It’s all very self-explanatory for buying cards, or you can auto buy in bulk numbers. There’s information about the game and jackpots at a glance, the chat box is user-friendly but without many users, and there’s a really good selection of mini-games to play while you’re waiting for things to kick off.
After playing a dutiful game or two we left to check out the Slots, and finally found something to be happy about! All our favourites were there including Tomb Raider, Hitman, and Monopoly, and there were loads more, including Casino games and some Instants.

Apart from STV being available on mobile we found no other features that caught our attention unless they were hidden really well!

We spent a couple of hours of our life checking out STV Bingo, and that’s two hours we’ll never get back, but it means you can make an informed decision and won’t have to go through what we did – life is too short for bad online Bingo sites!
