Session Prices

This venue sells an All In ticket rather than pricing books up separately, so a single price covers your main session, every extra bingo game and the jackpot stamp. There’s no main price list, but every session gets its own post put up on the offers page and on Facebook.

£15 is the typical going rate. It covers Monday and Wednesday afternoons along with the Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evenings. Saturday afternoon undercuts everything else at £14. Tuesday and Sunday evenings are the dear ones, with mains from £20 and, on the Sunday, additional games from £1.

Doors open at 11am for the afternoon sessions, with earlies running from noon and the matinee/prize bingo at 1:05pm. Evening opening is at 5pm, with the Cashpot playing at 6:15 pm, the early session at 6:45pm and the main event at 7:30pm.

Prize money varies more than the price does. Monday evenings run ten £50 houses and a £100 final that becomes £200 if the winning number happens to be a double, while Tuesday goes for four £100 houses and a £200 final. Both the Monday afternoon and Sunday evening posters advertise jackpots up to £1000. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday afternoon all run what the club calls real free prize bingo, where any win on the six-page book sends you home with a prize on top of the cash.

Note that this club is cash only, and there’s no card machine anywhere in the building. If you’re caught short, there’s a free ATM on site.

About Hednesford Bingo

This club is named after a dancer. Andrew Reilly’s father was known as ‘Hollywood’ for what he could do on a ballroom floor, and when Reilly left a career running some of the biggest bingo halls in the world to open his own place in 2008, that’s the name he put over the door.

The first Hollywood Club was an ageing drill hall. It did the job for a while, then gave way to what stands on Victoria Street today, a purpose-built flat-floor room at the centre of Hednesford. It’s the only bingo hall the town has. Hollywood Clubs has never wanted an online arm and says so on its own website. The whole idea is people round a table with a caller in front of them. Play on paper books or electronic pads, whichever suits you.

Membership can be sorted on the day, and you can play straight away. Just remember to bring photo ID because the club runs Challenge 25 and staff will ask. A typical session comes in under two hours. Between games, the bar’s open and the diner cooks to order, air conditioning runs throughout, and there’s a designated area for smokers. The gaming machines pay up to £500.

You’ll find it on the Chase Gateway site at the eastern edge of town, right next to Aldi. You can park directly outside for nothing, which makes the evening sessions straightforward. Daytime needs a bit more thought, because a two hour limit applies between 8am and 3pm. When it comes to public transport, Hednesford railway station is a six-minute walk, while the bus stops on Victoria Street and Market Street are four minutes away.
