Session Prices
The Hippodrome posts each day’s games on Facebook rather than a website, usually the day before they take place. The main session is £5.99 and covers an 8-page main book at 6 tickets a page. Treble Chance, as the club calls it, means a line, 2 lines and a full house all play on every one of those 8 pages. That also gets you 6 tickets for the 6:15pm cashpot, 6 link flyers, 5 Sweet 16 and 5 Parti tickets.
What moves is the prize money in the second session. Monday closes with houses at £50, £100 and £200 across pages 6, 7 and 8, Tuesday guarantees £10 a line and £100 a full house on the final page, and Wednesday runs three big games paying £10, £10 and £100. The cashpot itself is £1,300, and the link flyer plays for £3,500.

About the New Hippodrome
The Hippodrome name dates back to when this was a theatre, which opened between 1908 and 1911 with 918 seats across the stalls and a circle. It became a cinema by 1937, and the films stopped in the late sixties. Bingo has had the building ever since.
Very little of the theatre survives inside. It’s a plain room these days, which doesn’t seem to bother anyone. On Google, the club averages 4.4 out of 5, with the staff and the atmosphere coming up again and again rather than the surroundings.
It’s paper only here, no tablets. Sessions run seven nights a week from 5:30pm, with an extra one on Saturday lunchtimes. The bar and diner stay open right through, doing hot and cold drinks, snacks and full meals from £2.99 before 6:45pm. Some evenings also have a £2.50 bar on draught lager, cider and house doubles. Offers change from time to time, so check their Facebook before setting off.
Parking is on nearby side streets rather than on site. Buses stop directly opposite the door, and the nearest station, Fitzwilliam, is a little over two miles away, so anyone arriving by train usually completes the trip by bus or taxi.
