Big Bass Bonanza
Pragmatic Play
Twelve free games and a row of upgrading tablets, and in our two rounds they paid £93 and £67 at a £2 stake. It's not your typical result but it was welcome. Check the RTP in the help before playing for real, because sites can run versions as low as 90.25%.
Twelve free games into our first Eye of Horus round, four of the six tablets above the reels had turned into the same bird. Then Horus landed on the second reel, and £8.57 became £83 in one spin. That round finished on £93 at a £2 stake. A second round paid £67. Both were played in the free game above, with no money down, and both came from the same trick of upgrading tablets that keeps this slot in bingo lobbies years after release.
The rules screen in our demo gives an RTP of 96.31%. That’s the top of the range, though. Blueprint Gaming’s product page lists five versions at 90.25%, 92.04%, 93%, 94% and 96.31%, and the operator picks which one it runs. Before playing for real money, open the help screen at your chosen site and check the figure there.
The rules screen lists the biggest possible win from a single game as “250,000.00 / x50,000 total bet”. The game doesn’t print volatility anywhere, and Blueprint’s page leaves that field blank too.
It’s a 5×3 slot with ten always-active paylines, and wins are counted from the leftmost reel. The demo’s stake menu runs from 10p to £100 per spin, but in the UK an online slot can’t take more than £5 per spin, or £2 if you’re 18 to 24. Blueprint lists it as released in November 2017, and the small print on the paytable says Reel Time Gaming licensed the game.
The game prints its pays as multiples of the line bet. Here they are converted to multiples of your total bet, with the cash value at the default £2 stake (20p a line).
| Symbol | Five | Four | Three |
|---|---|---|---|
| Eye of Horus | 50x bet / £100 | 25x bet / £50 | 10x bet / £20 |
| Anubis | 40x bet / £80 | 20x bet / £40 | 5x bet / £10 |
| Bird | 30x bet / £60 | 12.5x bet / £25 | 2x bet / £4 |
| Scarab | 25x bet / £50 | 10x bet / £20 | 2x bet / £4 |
| Ankhs | 20x bet / £40 | 5x bet / £10 | 1x bet / £2 |
| Lotus flowers | 20x bet / £40 | 5x bet / £10 | 1x bet / £2 |
| A / K / Q / J | 10x bet / £20 | 2x bet / £4 | 0.5x bet / £1 |
| Scatter (any position) | 50x bet / £100 | 20x bet / £40 | 2x bet / £4 |

Our three scatters paid exactly the £4 in the table on the spin that started the free games, on top of anything won on the lines. The ankhs and lotus flowers pay the same, and so do all four letters, which matters once the free games start shuffling the tablets around.
Horus is the wild. When he lands on reel two, three or four, he stretches to cover the whole reel, and he stands in for any symbol except the scatter.

In the base game, that’s all he does. This slot saves everything clever for the free games.
Three or more temple doors anywhere on the reels award 12 free games at the same stake. Across the top of the screen a row of six tablets appears, running from the lotus flowers up through the ankhs, scarab, bird and Anubis to the Eye.

Every Horus that lands in the free games upgrades the next tablet in that row, turning the lowest tablet symbol on the reels into a better one and keeping it that way for the rest of the round. He also adds games. One Horus is worth one more free game, two are worth three and three are worth five.

That’s how our first round got going. Horus kept turning up, the count went from 12 to 16, and by free game 12 the lotus, ankh, scarab and bird tablets were all showing the bird. With birds all over the reels, a single Horus on reel two joined them up, and the round total jumped from £8.57 to £83.

The Feature Win screen read £93 when it ended. Our second round, played the same way, got only two extra games and ended on £67. Most of it came from one spin full of scarabs.
You can’t buy the free games here, in the UK version or the other one we loaded. Every round starts with three temple doors. Ours landed after 5 spins at £2 the first time and 22 the second. In two earlier test runs they took 68 spins and about 270, so don’t read anything into a quick start.
Bingo lobbies often list a few other Eye of Horus games beside this one. They share the Horus wild and the upgrading tablets but change the rest.
Bingo sites also carry Gold Spins and Megaways jackpot editions of these.
Of the 16 bingo and casino lobbies we checked across our partner brands, five featured the original Eye of Horus in a popular-games rail. That’s a strong showing for a 2017 slot against much newer games.
Mecca Bingo has it in its lobby, and our Mecca Bingo review covers the site. Check the game’s help section to see which RTP version a site runs before you play. There’s a wider choice on our page of slot sites launched recently, or go back to the slot demos for Big Bass Splash and the rest.
