Seen “ElectraWorks Limited” on your bank statement and drawn a blank? It’s nothing sinister. It’s a gambling operator, and for years it was the company behind a big run of UK betting, casino and bingo sites, Foxy Bingo and Bwin among them. These days the UK licence sits with a sister firm, LC International Limited, so a recent statement might show that name instead. Here’s who they are, which bingo brands they run, and whether you’re in safe hands.

Who is ElectraWorks Limited?

ElectraWorks Limited is part of Entain plc, the FTSE 100 group that used to be called GVC Holdings. It began life in Gibraltar running the Bwin sportsbook, then built up a stable of familiar names including Party Casino and Party Poker. When GVC bought the bwin.party business in 2016, ElectraWorks came along with it, and the whole group now sits under Entain alongside Ladbrokes and Coral.

Entain also took on what was left of Cozy Games, the software house behind a wave of small “no deposit” bingo sites through the 2010s. Most of those little brands have closed, but the technology carried on inside Entain’s own bingo operation, which is part of why names like Foxy Bingo and Gala Bingo look and feel the way they do.

ElectraWorks or LC International?

Here’s what matters if you’re checking a licence. The brands no longer run under ElectraWorks Limited’s own UK licence. They now operate under LC International Limited, which holds UK Gambling Commission account number 54743 from that same Gibraltar office. Same group, same address, same brands. So if your statement reads LC International rather than ElectraWorks, there’s your answer, and there’s nothing to worry about.

Is it Safe to Play at?

The short answer is yes, with the usual sensible caveats. Every brand under account 54743 is licensed by the UK Gambling Commission, so the standard player protections apply, your money is handled under current UK rules, and any dispute goes through an approved complaints service.

The group does have some history worth flagging. In February 2018, the Commission fined ElectraWorks £350,000 for repeatedly running misleading “free bonus” adverts across sites such as Bwin. It’s an old case and the licence carried on, but we’d rather you heard it from us than found it out later.

The Cozy Games Brands That Shut Down

A fair chunk of the traffic here comes from people hunting for a half-remembered bingo site that’s since vanished. Most were Cozy Games white-labels that closed between roughly 2018 and 2020, once they stopped paying their way. Ghost Bingo, Comfy Bingo, Harry’s Bingo, Budget Bingo and dozens more all went the same way, and even Cheeky Bingo now shows as inactive on the licence.

There’s nothing left to join, so if you’re after that same style of quick, low-stakes bingo, the live Jumpman or Dragonfish bingo sites are the closest thing going.
